Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run Parkwo, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

  1. 1.1Parkwo Nepal (“Parkwo”, “we”) runs the Parkwo website and apps. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
  2. 1.2This policy follows the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) and applies to drivers, parking owners, waitlist members and website visitors.

2. Information we collect

  1. 2.1Account and waitlist details: name, mobile number, area, vehicle type and, if you provide them, email, district and how often you park.
  2. 2.2Owner details: owner or operator name, contact details, lot location and map link, capacity, pricing, opening hours, facilities and payout bank details.
  3. 2.3Booking details: lots searched and booked, times, vehicle type and number plate, booking pass and receipts.
  4. 2.4Location: your approximate location while you search for parking or navigate to a lot, only if you allow it on your device.
  5. 2.5Payment details: confirmation and transaction references from eSewa, Khalti or other providers. We never receive or store your wallet PIN or password.
  6. 2.6Device and usage data: device type, app version, pages viewed and anonymous, cookie-free website analytics (Vercel Analytics).
  7. 2.7Communications: messages, calls and feedback you send to our support team.

3. How we use your information

  1. 3.1To create and manage your account and process bookings, extensions, cancellations and refunds.
  2. 3.2To show nearby lots, availability, prices and directions.
  3. 3.3To verify parking owners and lots, publish listings and pay owners.
  4. 3.4To contact you about the launch if you joined the waitlist, and to send booking confirmations, reminders and receipts.
  5. 3.5To keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.
  6. 3.6To understand how the Platform is used and improve it.
  7. 3.7To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations under Nepali law.

4. Who we share it with

  1. 4.1With the owner of the lot you book: your name, vehicle type, number plate and booking time, so they can admit you.
  2. 4.2With drivers: an owner's lot name, location, pricing, facilities and contact details for that lot.
  3. 4.3With payment providers such as eSewa and Khalti, to process payments and refunds.
  4. 4.4With service providers that host and run our systems, including Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting and analytics), under confidentiality obligations.
  5. 4.5With authorities, when required by Nepali law or to protect the safety of users or the public.
  6. 4.6We do not sell your personal information.

5. How long we keep it

  1. 5.1Waitlist information is kept until launch plus 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it.
  2. 5.2Account information is kept while your account is open and for up to 12 months after you close it.
  3. 5.3Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Nepali tax and accounting rules require.

6. How we protect it

  1. 6.1Data is encrypted in transit, stored with access controls, and only staff who need it can see it.
  2. 6.2No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

  1. 7.1You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information.
  2. 7.2You can stop marketing messages at any time. You will still receive essential booking messages.
  3. 7.3You can turn off location access in your device settings. Some features, like nearby search, will not work without it.
  4. 7.4To make a request, email info@parkwo.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

  1. 8.1The Platform is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

  1. 9.1We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email. Updates are posted on this page.
